Why a monkey sanctuary?

Monkeys hold a unique fascination and appeal. A baby monkey can seem the perfect pet -- until they grow into their dangerous, destructive, wild and wonderful selves. "Humanized" but not domesticated, captive-bred monkeys have no place in a household or in nature. Koreymonde bridges the gap, providing a combination of care, attention, and environment to meet these monkeys' complex needs.

Protection, not exploitation

Providing the best possible life for our semi-wild friends... that's what Koreymonde is all about. The sanctuary is a place for the monkeys, not a public attraction. We do not breed, sell, adopt out, or display monkeys.

Lifetime care

Capuchins can live 50+ years in captivity.  This is a commitment few pet owners can honor.  Reputable sanctuaries like Koreymonde offer lifetime care.  At Koreymonde, the monkeys can live out their years in social groups, enjoying a natural, enriching environment suited to their species.
